Lokaa⅃ (Local in Dutch) is a small-scale urban agricultural project of Enactus VU, which aims to create an educational, social and economic value in the field of urban farming by cultivating crops in selfmade greenhouses at primary schools. Because we believe that we need to make social impact on the awareness and mindset of children on a very young age regarding mishaps in the food industry. Our ambition is to visit primary schools to give workshops on a weekly base, which includes crowing crops in selfmade greenhouse, while also giving lectures about consequences of food waste and the potential of urban farming in a fun and educative way. Of course, the children get to eat their own vegetables and fruit, which they cultivated themselves during the workshops. Lokaa⅃ is more than a cultivation project and strives to bring a lost experience to the younger generation in our society.
